- Partners with leadership, BU and sales leaders to synthesize key business questions, develop hypothetical solutions, analyse their feasibility and execute acquisition of data assets in support of Commercial Strategy
- Identifies and develops innovative uses of existing/evolving data sources to drive speed-to-market and increase competitive advantages
- Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop in-depth business, analytical, and systems knowledge to improve/build analytical solutions, approaches and business recommendations.
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams (Business, Operations, Technology, Finance, Sales)
- Seeks out alternative/creative ways of meeting an information and reporting need, considering new techniques to address business challenges
- Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions.
- Demonstrating data visualization (Power BI, Tableau, Excel), and analytic tools (R, SAS, JMP, Python, Spark) to grasp the business insights from our mountain of data
- Capture key project requirements and create business requirements documents, covering key business questions/objectives, data integration requirements, data modelling requirements, reporting requirements and non-functional requirements
- Coordinate with main technology partners to implement new features and solutions against tight development timelines, in an agile development mode.
- Facilitate discussions and workshops to help define solutions and take initiatives forward.
- Work closely with the architecture team to design technology solutions.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- 8-10 years of work experience in relevant business analyst roles in asset management industry with strong knowledge of markets and financial Services sector
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills coupled with strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
- Ability to use data and metrics to test hypothesis, confirm assumptions, generate insights/recommendations, and measure success
- Can partner across a wide array of internal business groups, executive stakeholders and execution partners with ability to build solid relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Experience of business finance roles and/or partnering internal clients would be an advantage.
- Self-starter with a strong passion for using data to influence business decisions and strategy investments.
- Prior or current experience with data visualisation and data modelling tools
- Proven impact and influence skills - ability to work broadly across disparate groups to gain agreement on direction, integrate disparate opinions into cohesive strategy/message and present/defend recommendations.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and navigate uncertain situations to drive for clarity; work calmly and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-speed environment
- Good communicator, able to present and articulate information succinctly
- Good problem solver and ability to adapt to changing requirements or deliverables
