Ernst & Youngs Valuation, Modelling and Economics Team provides independent and objective valuations. Our Team comprises of experienced and qualified team members who use local insights and their experience to deliver accurate, reliable and prompt valuations. We provide valuation services for a wide variety of properties based on the size of a property, complexity of a project, or industry focus. We offer valuation for various purposes including financial reporting, financing, dispute resolutions, taxation, etc.

The opportunity

EY is looking for Associate / Senior Associate- Real Estate Valuation in the Valuation, Modelling and Economics Team under Transaction Advisory Services.

Your key responsibilities

The successful candidate will have to work on assignments involving real estate developments/investments across residential, commercial, hospitality and industrial sectors which may include estimation of cash flows, building discounted cash flow models, analyses of comparable projects/properties through market research, conducting site visits and cost analyses. - Analyzing market data and comparable transactions

- Conducting market research

- Conducting site visits

- Understanding relevant regulations

- Analysing assumptions based on market parameters and past performance

- Interact with clients

- Analyse Business plans prepared in MS Excel and identify material issues, which might impact the outputs of the model.

- Ability to prepare a detailed financial model from scratch with strict deadlines

- Report writing

- Managing reviews with the Managers and Partners

- Ensure compliance with risk management strategies, plans and activities.

- Understand the concept of risk management and bring to focus risk issues on client assignments and take issues to the notice of the manager/supervisor

- Begin to identify new opportunities for existing clients and communicates to manager

- Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact issues with his clients

- High team orientation

- Strong Financial modeling skills

- Should be very conversant with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

- A significant amount of initiative

- Experience of real estate valuation

Preference will be given to candidates who have worked in a role involving real estate valuation with Big 4s, International Property Consultants, Real Estate Investment Companies / Funds, etc.

To qualify for the role you must have :

- CA or MBA (preferably from a premier institute) with a good academic background

- 1 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience, including experience in real estate valuation.
