Your key responsibilities
The incumbent will participate in engagements and compliances related to Indirect taxation-mainly Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Customs.
Client responsibilities:
- Be responsible for complete execution of the assigned engagements (a) Preparation and assistance with return filing and report generation.
- Be aware of services that the practice provides-Build internal networks to develop understanding of service line offerings and bring potential opportunities to the attention of the team.
- Understand the basic technical issues during reviewing data and bring discrepancies / additional data requirements to the attention of the team.
- Coordinate with the manager/senior executive regards the planning and management of assignments.
- Provide input for process improvements/automation.
- Provide quality service, be commercial and reduce rework.
People responsibilities
- Maintain composure and exercises control in pressure situations in the team.
- Contribute to effective team work in internal engagement situations.
- Ability to meet/adhere to strict deadlines, being passionate about the client support specialist role

To qualify for the role you must have
- Graduate from any stream with at least 6 months -1 year of work experience in Tax.
- Prior experience/insight into GST and Customs, as also the erstwhile Indirect taxation viz. Sales Tax/ Service Tax/Central Excise is desirable.
Ideally you- ll also have
- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
