Our client, a global consulting firm is engaged with a leading auto component manufacturer specializing in batteries, is looking to bring in an experienced Export Sales Specialist to drive sales expansion into European and Southeast Asian markets. The ideal candidate will be an expert in sales acceleration and export growth, with a proven track record of delivering results in international markets
The project is part of a larger two-year expansion initiative, aiming to establish a strong presence in key overseas markets. The specialist will play a crucial role in executing the company's growth strategy, ensuring market penetration and revenue growth. Success will be measured by sales performance, successful market entry, and expansion of the client's international distribution network
What You Will Be Doing:
- Drive export sales growth in Europe and Southeast Asia, with a strong focus on achieving revenue targets
- Develop and implement a sales acceleration strategy, identifying key clients, partners, and distribution channels
- Set up and lead meetings with potential buyers, distributors, and partners, ensuring strong engagement
- Create compelling sales propositions tailored to market needs and regional regulations
- Coordinate across internal teams (product, logistics, finance) to ensure seamless execution of export deals
- Provide market intelligence on competitive landscape, pricing strategies, and potential business risks
- Regular travel to target markets for on-ground business development and relationship building
- Work closely with senior leadership and report progress against sales objectives
Your Background:
- 10+ years of experience in export sales, with a strong focus on international business development
- Proven track record in driving sales and market entry in Europe and/or Southeast Asia
- Battery or auto component experience is NOT required, but expertise in export sales is essential
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and deal-closing skills
- Ability to independently drive sales initiatives and work across different time zones
- Experience working in fast-paced, results-driven environments
- Prior experience in both industry and consulting is acceptable; strong sales execution is the priority
This is a 12-month contractual opportunity, with a high likelihood of extension, as the project is planned for two years
The consultant will have to relocate to Kolkata along with extensive travel to target markets (Europe/Southeast Asia) during the entire duration of the contract Candidates based in Europe or Southeast Asia will also be considered
