The Employer The employer is mid-sized trading company headquartered in Hong Kong. The company has a 20-year track record of sourcing and exporting a wide range of products primarily from Greater China to Europe, North & South America, Middle East and Africa. Product lines include light engineering goods, hardware, tyres, automotive accessories, components and related products. In view of its ongoing business expansion, especially in Africa and South America, the company is looking for a high-caliber professional to join the team as:

Position: Export Manager (Tyres)

Position: Export Manager (Auto Parts)

Location: Hong Kong

Role & Responsibilities

- The selected candidate will be responsible for export and business development for Tyres (BTR, OTR & PCR), Auto Parts and related products to selected markets in Africa, particularly East and West Africa, Middle East and South America.

- He will be involved in managing entire transaction cycles from sourcing to sales, shipment, delivery and collection.

- He will work closely with the sourcing offices to develop both existing and new supply base, mainly from China, Taiwan, Korea, India etc.

- Key responsibilities will be to drive sales through acquisition of new clients, dealer/channel management, participation in trade fairs and exhibitions, and client relationship management.

- He will follow up and ensure conformity with trade documentation and logistics requirements, on-time shipments/delivery and collection of dues.

- The role requires extensive travel to the suppliers in Far East and markets in Africa, Middle East, Central Asia and South America.

Requirements Ideal candidates will have :

- Degree in engineering/science/business. MBA or Post graduate Diploma with a specialization in International Trade will be preferred.

- At least 5+ years of similar work experience, preferably with a reputed trading or tyre manufacturing company.

- Exposure to sales and marketing in Africa, especially countries like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania etc.; or South America, Central Asia or Middle East.

- Exposure to Tyres (preferably TBR, OTR and PCR), Auto parts

- Entrepreneurial flair, ambition, confidence level and business acumen.

- Strong oral and written English skills.

- Knowledge of Spanish/French or other languages preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in multi-ethnic teams.

- Strong work ethics and can-do attitude.
