Expert - Operational Risk Management - Contractual

Opportunity overview :

Our client is a leading consulting firm with a strong global presence, particularly in the MENA region. They are currently seeking an Operations Risk expert from a banking background to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This exciting opportunity is initially a 6-month contract, with the high probability of converting to a permanent position with the consulting firm.

Experience : 6 years +

Designation : Assistant Manager to Senior Manager

Location : Riyadh, KSA

Essential criterion for the role :

- Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing ORM frameworks, policies, and procedures.

- Define and manage the Risk Appetite policy and formulate, update, and validate the risk appetite.

- Design and implement Risk assessment tools such as:

- RCSA (Risk & Control Self-Assessment)

- Control testing

- KRI (Key Risk Indicators)

- Incident/Loss Data Management

- Contribute to the effective execution and implementation of ORM-related agendas such as:

- Third Party Risk Assessment

- Training and Awareness Programs

Good to have :

- Experience in Board committees-creating agendas/decks and managing documentation such as Charter, Minutes, etc.

- Understanding of Operational Risk Capital Charge Computation.

- Support reporting, creating dashboards, governance structure, and remediation plans.

- Oversee risk assessment practices to assess potential risk impacts, risk management maturity, and related information for key business operational risks.

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 6-month contract. The consultant will be required to be based out of Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) for the duration of this project.
