Marketing Expert in Perishables (Horticulture Produce and Vegetables)

Job Profile :

- Understanding and experience in procurement and marketing of the perishable products.

- Understanding of the entire value chain from farm to marketing and processing opportunities for perishable products (fruits and vegetables).

- Experience of working on state/central govt. projects related to market linkages, value chain development, value chain finance, market information and intelligence etc.

- Experience of derivative markets, including structuring of futures/options products for perishable products will be an added advantage.

- Should have experience into Contract Farming of perishable products.

- Experience of managing a large team on market linkages or field implementation projects.

- Excellent team management and leadership skills.

- Experience of working on market linkages for FPOs will be preferred.

- Experience of derivative markets, including structuring of futures/options products for perishable products will be an added advantage.

- Excellent report writing skills.

- Masters in Agribusiness / Agri Marketing / Rural Development from Tier I institutes like IIM-ABM, IRMA, MANAGE, NIAM, XIMB etc.

- Under graduation preferably in Agriculture or Food Processing.

Candidate Profile :

- The prime responsibility will be of planning and executing various interventions required for demonstrating and facilitating market linkages and value addition for a range of perishable products (fruits and vegetables).

- The marketing expert will also be responsible to support the project team in designing and executing other project interventions related to marketing and/or value addition, aligned with the overall objectives of the project.

- Project Planning and Strategy Formulation, Leading Market Linkages and Marketing Initiatives, Team Management, Training & Capacity Building, Client Communication and Reporting.
