Expert - IT Audit

Purpose:

Expert IT Auditor's critical role is to provide the organization the best independent, objective assurance and advisory activity to assist the organization in accomplishing its goals and protect or increase its value through a systematic, disciplined approach to the identification and minimization of enterprise risk.

Job Description:

- Perform SoX compliance reviews and various Information Technology related audits across multiple technology platforms ranging from applications, network, and infrastructure. This includes the following:

i. Execute testing through various methods and prepare high quality audit work papers in accordance with department policy;

ii. Ensure compliance, quality and operational processes are functioning efficiently, effectively and in accordance with company policy;

iii. Document understanding of processes through narratives, flow-charts, and transactional walk through support;

iv. Ensure that audit projects are completed timely and manage resources efficiently;

v. Assist in the preparation and coordination of audit requests and effective communication of project status, findings, and recommendations with Management (Internal Audit, Local, Regional, and Corporate);

vi. Provide independent and objective assistance to auditees in the issue remediation activities and track the implementation of the identified remediation activities;

vii. Enhance IT and auditing knowledge base through staying current with current industry (pharmaceutical) activity and auditing pronouncements;

viii. Understand the organizations policies and provide guidance to auditees and Management;

ix. Be accountable to manage, monitor, and report on budget and actual hours for audit projects;

x. Mentor, coach and provide on the job training to junior staff members to help them perform their audit work;

xi. Manage licenses and users for Internal Audit department specific tools, and perform any changes to the tools when needed to meet the requirements of the audit team; and

xii. Perform other duties as assigned.

- Solid knowledge of IT general control framework (i.e., logical access, program change management, hardware security), COBIT, COSO, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and IT Auditing standards and practices is required, and basic knowledge of SAP is preferred.
