Sr. Product Manager

At Expedia our mission is to revolutionize travel through the power of technology. Our E-Commerce Checkout team is looking for an experienced, energetic and self-motivated Sr. Product Manager to help us do just that.

The Checkout platform team is part of Expedia group's Platform and Marketplaces organization. At the core, our platform interfaces with some of the key systems, like identity, order management, payments, loyalty, coupons, analytics, and messaging to serve customers. While focusing on the core platform, we also aim to ensure configurability for brands and partners to help them have differentiators. Our team is charged with evolving our capabilities to support new business models and extend Checkout more broadly to all of our brands

Sitting at the sharp end of the conversion funnel our Checkout platform processes millions of bookings a week from customers across the globe using any one of our 40+ localized websites or our award-winning mobile app. It's an exciting time to join the team as we're setting about building the next generation of our platform using modern frameworks such as GraphQL and microservices-based architecture.

The Sr. Product Manager will take a lead role in expanding Expedia Group's eCommerce Checkout capabilities and developing the next-generation customer facing system which processes millions of bookings every week from customers across the globe. This role will work across Expedia Group and the eCommerce Platform teams to deliver customer value and enable new capabilities in the Checkout space. You will work collaboratively across other Product teams, Technology, Operations and broader Expedia Group partners to build and execute our product delivery strategy.

Our team aims to converge and evolve our systems to unlock the tremendous potential for eCommerce at Expedia Group.

What will you do:

- Work across cross-functional Product, Technology and Operations teams to drive execution and delivery of world class products

- Partner with strong technical teams to translate customer needs into workable technology solutions

- Envision business objectives, opportunities and develop product roadmaps

- Develop and evangelize an understanding of our brands, partners, pain points and aspirations

- Lead the execution of products from inception through deployment

- Use data and judgement to craft our strategy and define clear roadmaps

- Deliver on our roadmap by prioritizing for maximum impact

- Catalyst of change that can influence the broader organization and community of EG leaders

- Anticipate delivery risks, and manage trade-offs

- Collaborative leader who builds a constructive working culture across Product, Technology and Operations

- Rigorously execute on experiments and measure outcomes

- Build relationships and make transparent decisions with diverse teams

Who are you:

- Think creatively and solve interesting problems in a fast-paced environment

- Show strong judgement: you'll have experience of making sound decisions based on both data and intuition

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required or MBA from a credible program preferred

- 10+ years with product, consulting, or technology experience in a corporate environment required

- See the big picture whilst handling the details

- Communicate quickly and effectively with different teams

- Build relationships and trust with others by being transparent

- Embrace challenges, persist, and learn through support and feedback

- Demonstrate an ability to get things done

- Inspire others with your ideas and challenge the status quo

- Experience in leading multiple large-scale projects

- Experience in product management, or a background in business analysis, or technology program management

- Understanding of product development lifecycle in an agile environment

- Excellent quantitative, analytical and critical thinking skills

- Self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
