Headquartered in California and Y Combinator backed, Exly is a Shopify-like platform for creators & knowledge professionals (coaches, instructors, experts, artists etc.) to launch, manage and grow their business online. Founded by IIT/ IIM/ BITS/ Yale/ BCG Alumni and 3X Entrepreneurs, we are well funded and backed by top Indian VC firms along with start-up veterans like Kunal Shah (CRED). The company is founded by alumni from top IITs, IIMs, BITS, Yale including ex-entrepreneurs and from firms such as BCG, Hike, Dunzo and P&G.

Since the launch of Exly's first version in December 2020 we have grown 25X. Creators have earned more than $1 Million since launch through Exly. We have just closed our series A (yet to announce) and are looking to build out our leadership team across functions.

About the role:

The Head of Product will be responsible for heading all of Exly's product initiatives & driving product-led growth - by building new-age/ game changing product features in the creator economy space; leading a large team of PMs, Sr. PMs, designers and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for leading all of Exly's marketing & comms initiatives - Drive market leadership by distributing our product to 1M+ creators & building a strong brand.

- Lead multiple inter-dependent work-streams, each with massive business potential and scale immediately.

- Have strong detail orientation, the product will have inter-dependent flows on both front-end as well as ops back-end.

- Growth Strategy: Build strategies to drive growth via a better product experience, across engagement and monetization.

- Product Management: Work with several dedicated development teams on app features and functionality that best serve our users.

- Team Management: Manage a team to own the growth product strategy across desktop and mobile applications, including recruiting and mentoring and setting effective KPI's.

- Customer Understanding and Why It Matters: Develop a framework for understanding users' workflows and needs, and identifying the highest opportunities for customer and business impact.

- Partner Management: Lead key relationships across product, design, marketing, engineering, analytics, and user research to align on shared objectives, resourcing needs, and operating model - you're a highly effective communicator that others want to work with.

- Experimentation: Design processes around experimentation within the team and broader organization, including hypothesis generation, measuring impact, and incorporating findings.

The successful applicant will be:

- 3+ years VP level experience (preferably building consumer SaaS products - edtech, e-comm at top early-stage startups).

- Data-driven: through both qualitative and quantitative approaches (user research, A/B experimentation, usability testing, data analysis, and competitor and market analysis).

- Experience in working with the Design team and product marketing team with a data-driven approach to building a website with world-class UX.

- MBA/B.Tech from a Tier 1 college with an Engineering background preferred.

- Superb communication: You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You make complex ideas understandable and craft specs that are easy for multiple audiences to consumers.
