EXL Services - Financial Research Analyst - Investment Banking Background

Basic Function :

Seeking a research analyst preferably from investment banking background capable of converting text and data based on primary and secondary information available. The role requires understanding of financial and economic concepts, sub-sectors and basic report writing skills

Essential Functions :

- Extracts raw data from various sources, including databases, online platforms

- Collaborate with team members to understand business and user requirements

- Translate requirements and synthesize information into highly engaging and compelling piece of work

- Comprehend numerically driven or financial concepts and convert them into appropriate presentations / work product

Skills :

- Ability to synthesize information from databases, presentations, research reports and other publications

- Expert knowledge MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel), working knowledge of databases including CapitalIQ, Thomson Reuters, Factiva

- 3-5 years of experience with investment banking / equity research / market research companies

- Able to extract and convey data in specified manner

- Commitment to delivering exceptional service, with ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships

- Ability to work with short deadlines
