We are currently looking for candidates with an experience of Optimization and Simulation modeling. The individual would be catering to one of the US Insurance major.

Role & Responsibilities Overview:
- Research, analyze, and present data as assigned.
- Develop detailed codes for data preparation and model scoring to be used in production.
- Prepare detailed documentation of predictive models and make oral presentations to team lead.
- Assist in learning and development of new team members.
- Critically examine and deep dive into models.
- Continuously formulate a business problem into an efficiently structured Optimization problem
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement
- In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and bi-variate analysis.
- Complete understanding of Python libs like Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Sklearn, Statsmodels, etc.
- Capable to diagnose/QA Optimization model performance, identify improvement opportunity and develop heuristic / in house algorithm for solutions as needed,
- Involved in building time series type of forecast models and simulation models.
- Manage team size of at least 3-4 members
Candidate Profile:
- PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistic, or Computer Science strongly preferred with 1+ years hands on experiences building optimization and/or simulation model to solve real-world optimization problem; Or MS with 3+ years professional experiences solving real-world optimization problem, preferably in insurance analytics
- Solid knowledge in stochastic process, queuing theory, stochastic/robust optimization, assignment optimization, network optimization, capacity planning optimization, MILP; relevant professional experience preferred
- Leverage optimization (and simulation) models to support building Staffing and Assignment optimization models
- Develop model deployment tool in python, model monitoring and ad hoc analysis as needed
- Proficient in Python, and familiar with Optimization engines (CPLEX, GUROBI, or comparable)
- Prior experience in managing and delivering on end to end projects
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
- Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
