R Modeling - BA/SBA/AM
- Proficiency in R is mandatory. Ability to work with SQL code is a plus.
- Identify potential problems, build the hypothesis, identify research data attributes and determine approach to solve analytical problems
- Understand client requirements; clear and goal oriented communication
- Work with large data; understand, extract, clean and prepare the data for analysis
- Perform detail exploratory data analysis on the data and report findings
- Create quick visual representations of findings, wherever applicable
- Identify and apply relevant statistical models to solve analytical problems
- Build complex programs for running statistical tests on data and for understanding correlation of various attributes
- Compare and weigh numerical model outputs and identify best choice models
- Run tests to understand validation of the predictive power of the models built and implementation transition to operations and IT
- Document all findings and smoothly aid implementation by transition to operations and IT
- Make recommendations for procedural improvements supported by analytical findings
- Build presentations for targeted audiences
- Establish timelines to deliver recommendations/solutions and deliver on or before deadlines
- Maintain high standards of quality; establish and implement programming standards
- Create efficient and re-usable code
Functional Skills:
1. R knowledge (Mandatory)
a. Writing/ Trouble shooting R codes & SQL queries
b. Should have prior experience in Data handling/Manipulation using R
c. Should be able to create R functions
d. Experience in Statistical Modeling/Machine learning techniques like Linear Regression, Logistic Regression, Decision Trees or K - means etc.
2. SQL knowledge (Good to have)
a. Should be able to use optimized SQL queries to retrieve and process data from databases
3. Experience in P&C Insurance domain (Good to have)
