Role Overview :
- Independent research, to analyze, and to present data as assigned
- Expected to work in close collaboration with the EXL team and clients on life insurance actuarial projects for US markets
- Critically examine and deep dive into models and identify possible areas of testing
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of actuarial models including unit testing, end-to-end integration testing, user acceptance testing, etc.
- Prepare detailed end-to-end documentation for the models developed and the testing done
- Assist in learning and development of new team members
- Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement
- Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions
- Working with data and implementing data control and data automation
- In-depth data analysis like identifying major trends, univariate and multi-variate analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Candidate Profile :
- Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, with at least 3-6 CT actuarial exams
- 2-5 years experience, with good understanding of Life Annuities actuarial concepts - pricing, reserving and valuation
- Experience in US life insurance market and model testing preferred
- Good to have GGY Axis/Prophet experience
- Experience with tools like Excel, SQL, VBA preferred
- Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge
- Superior analytical and problem solving skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
- Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
