Brief:
Exhibition India Group is seeking an experienced candidate responsible for the operational delivery of a series of domestic and overseas multiple mega exhibition events each year.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Manage show operations / On-site events / - controlling all on-site-related activity and infrastructures ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, achievement of deadlines, compliance with Health & Safety regulations and full budget control
- Project planning & scheduling - create and monitor exhibition and project schedules to ensure key deadlines are met
- Understanding of custom-based exhibition stands, approved stand designs, floorplans & exhibitor manuals.
- Management of temporary staff (onsite & pre-show).
- Regular liaising with contractors, suppliers & exhibitors.
- Work with the selected third-party vendors and partners to ensure smooth delivery of the series of exhibitions organized in the respective location
- Manage contracts, budget management & negotiation with suppliers
- Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits.
- Post event reporting and analysis.
Note - This role will involve travel (site inspections & venue/contractor meetings as well as on-site exhibition-related organisation and operations) and will have staff management responsibilities
Candidate Profile :
- Confident and out-going exhibitions industry professional with a minimum of minimum 15 years of experience in event operations and exhibitions
- Qualification -Graduate from a relevant stream from an institute of repute
- Organised and self-motivated individual with strong negotiation and decision-making skills.
- Must have prior knowledge of the exhibitions industry, major venues, and key contractors and be able to read and understand technical floorplans and stand drawings.
- Budget management skills are essential.
- Should be able to work under pressure and tight deadlines and be a confident team player with a creative and innovative approach.
- Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills; diplomatic attitude
- Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and installation, including creating and working with various types of media files for exhibitions.
- Open to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during installation periods.
Note
- Reports to Director (EIG)
- Responsible for planning & organize exhibitions from concept to execution, preparing budget and presentations, media plan/ vendor management/ buyer promotion/ production & logistics
- Key relationships Internal team (incl. senior leadership & colleagues) external stakeholders (exhibitors, vendors, etc)
