Executive - Indirect Tax - Big4 - CA

Require 0-2 years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax. Freshers may also apply.

Responsibilities:

- Assist the team during new client pitch / new assignment with existing clients

- Understanding the requirements of client from advisory and compliance services perspective

- Assistance in preparation of draft proposal outlining the detailed scope of work

- Assist the team in completion of risk processes before initiating the engagement

- Assist the team in providing advisory services (including review and understanding the facts of the matter, undertaking / review of research undertaken by junior team members, understanding the tax implications, discuss with the senior team members, liaise with client and other team members, etc.

- Prepare / review the tax computations and periodic GST returns

- Adhere to the client's timelines / statutory due dates for providing advisory or compliance services

- Assist during the VAT / Service Tax or GST Audits or Assessments undertaken by the tax authorities (including collation / review of documents, identifying the gaps in the documents, submission with relevant authorities, assistance during the verification of documents, preparation of draft replies to be submitted for queries raised / letters / notices, etc.)

- Assist the team during litigation matters (including understand the Notice / Orders, understand and discuss facts of the matter and contentions of the department, undertaking / review of research undertaken, assistance in drafting of reply / appeal and submission with tax authorities, regular follow ups, etc.)

- Tracking the amendments in law, rules, regulation, judicial pronouncements, etc., identifying the relevant clients to whom the same shall have an impact, discuss with the team, assist the team in sending the relevant updates to the clients

- Assist and be a part of the team in a true spirit to accomplish the client assignment

- Assist the team in delivering the quality services to client, as per their requirements within timelines
