RESPONSIBIILITIES
1. Should detail and execute the product development plans to deliver novel and consumer perceivable product technologies which provides organization competitive edge.
2. Should be able to interface with manufacturing for various projects, Technology transfers Value engineering projects etc.
3. Should be able to interface with marketing for various projects.
4. Should be able to interface with legal for various claims, legal compliances.
QUALITIES THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE
1. Domain knowledge - The candidate should have in-depth domain knowledge of Food Technology. Should have done product development in the area stated at conception, planning and execution levels.
2. Should have worked on breakfast cereals such as Corn flakes, Wheat flakes, Muesli, Chocos etc.
3. Should have knowledge on extrusion technology.
4. Must have handled seasonings in the past.
5. Should be conversant with legal compliances and food laws.
6. Should have high level of entrepreneurial drive to lead the projects within organizations and outside (collaborative) organization for meeting the business deadlines
7. Should exhibit strong mentoring capability/attitude to update the science levels within organization to meet global levels.
8. Should have adequate knowledge about aspects of technology which impact commercial viability of projects
Should be conversant with new IT tools for efficient and effective project completion.
Reporting Relationship :
Role reports to Head Functional Foods
Key interfaces that the role would have will be - Manufacturing, Marketing, Legal, Buying
