Role & Responsibilities:

Seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to within the CTS team as the Head of Reference Data Team. Key aspects of the role include:

- Lead Reference Data applications including re-engineering / strategic changes (Front2Back re-architecture), major projects (like BCBS 239, Global Margin), small enhancements, production fixes and production support

- Rapid assimilation & understanding of existing Reference data applications and technical environment

- Quickly and accurately lead, design and develop enhancements to Reference data applications, based on business analyst specifications or technical designs and respond to production incidents and support queries

- Manage global stakeholder relationships including being the primary person responsible for managing the primary business users of the Reference Data applications 70% of who are also based in India.

- Work closely with the key senior IT and non-IT stakeholders who consume data from Reference data applications.

- Work as part of a global team and be responsible for ownership of project deliveries from India and also play an important role in the global team deliveries.

- Work within a dynamic and challenging environment both independently as well as within a team

Key Skills:

Skills - Essential

- Overall Experience of 15 to 20 years in IT with a minimum of 7-10 years in an investment banking environment, ideally in a development lead role related to product and/or client reference data applications

- BTech or BE in computers or electronics or equivalent.

- Good communication skills.

- Good understanding of design fundamentals, Java pattern, databases.

- Experience working Core Java/J2EE, Spring and application frameworks

- Exposure to messaging frameworks like TIB, EMS, JMS.

- UNIX, SQL (querying ability, scripting, stored procedures), preferably Sybase

- Knowledge of source control tools such as SVN as CVS

Skills - Desirable

- Knowledge on caching technology would also be preferred.

- Messaging frameworks and APIs XML, JMS, MQ, TIB

- Basic understanding of JBOSS and Weblogic

- Basic understanding of TIBCO Messaging

- Familiarity with Informatica ETL tools

- Practical experience of Production Support or multi-tasking with numerous development requests

Knowledge - Essential

- Understanding of key reference data concepts, including at least one or more of: Product, Counterparty or Accounts.

- Full software development lifecycle experience

- Experience working in a rapidly changing, fast paced business environment

- Understanding of data-model concepts (entities, attributes, relationships, etc)

Knowledge - Desirable

- Understanding of front to back reference data flows and the trade lifecycle

- Experience working with off shore clients and delivery teams
