Hiring at Executive Director level in Hedge Fund Accounting domain for one of my Global Investment Banking client based in Bangalore.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing a team of around 200 odd people based in Bangalore with full accountability of day to day operations and leading transformation for the Hedge Fund Accounting group.
- Manage the Fund Accounting, Investor Services, NAV/GAV Calculation and Reconciliation functions for portfolio of Hedge Funds for multiple locations (EMEA and US)
- Significant experience of internal controls, checklists and procedures and interaction with internal audit, implementing change and constantly creating efficiencies in operating model.
- Understand client relationships and expectations and ensure client deliverables are timely and accurate.
- Lead transformation for the entire FA group with respect to ongoing simplification of organization, streamlining operational processes to reduce risk and improve efficiencies with help of AI and RPA.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to manage the audit process.
- Responsible for fund compliance with partnership agreements and other legal and regulatory requirements.
- Interact with many stakeholders - product, risk, legal, compliance, technology etc.
- Communication and interaction with onshore teams on fund matters and investment structures.
- Ownership of timely resolution of queries.
- Work on special projects and requests.
- Collaborate and execute automation projects and new initiatives
- Ensure resiliency planning and MIS reporting.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Significant experience and proven track record in managing large teams and previous hedge fund accounting experience required.
- A qualified accountant with post qualification experience or with proven experience in accounting with exposure to US/Lux/UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Advent Geneva and/or Investran knowledge preferred.
- Fully accountable to Client deliverables and Senior Management for all reporting activities within the group.
- Must be a team player with the ability to network with co-workers but also have the ability to work independently and prioritize own workflows.

Ideal candidate would have a minimum of 12 years of experience majorly into Hedge Fund Accounting. Someone who is a seasoned SVP or recently get promoted as a Director will be a right fit.
