We currently have openings for R&D Head. The right candidate will provide vision and inspiration to the R&D organization under her/his leadership and will foster a strong culture of innovation. Should have strong drive and experience in software development, management, and development lifecycle. This position will require an individual highly skilled in planning and manage the technical design, development, construction, and delivery of technology products.

- Key responsibilities, which include customer communication, the scope of work finalization, resource alignment, finalizing deliverables, and execute a plan for on-time delivery to end customer for real usage.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in building software platform

- 7+ years- experience in managing product software development project is required.

- Manage team size 50 to 100

- Experience in Telecommunication solutions is highly desirable.

- Strong Experience in building BSS (CRM, Order management, product Catalog - ) platform is required.

- Strong JAVA programming and system software design and debugging skills is required.

- Demonstrates a can-do attitude and strong ownership.

- BE or MTech in Computer Science/Engineering

Essential skills:

- Managing Product Delivery activities starting from requirement scoping till delivery

- Own design and development of major pieces of the technology platform for a product.

- Execute complex projects working in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Build, lead and motivate a team of high performing engineers.

- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

- Be a hands-on technologist with strong business acumen, with the ability to architect high performance and highly scalable solutions in line with the demanding needs

- Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporates components, materials, and tools that result in cost-effective and quality output.

- Complete & Agile product lifecycle development implementing Microservice product architecture.

- Involved in continuous improvement through different process execution for effective product & project delivery for all stakeholders.

Business Domain Experience:

- Must have strong knowledge of BSS/OSS architecture and business functions supported by such product

- Demonstrated knowledge of the business processes for telecom and media companies in at least 2 areas (provisioning/ordering, billing, collections, network management, and operations)

- Demonstrated knowledge of telecom in at least one of the following: Wireless, wireline, cable, broadband

- Good knowledge of Shade Matching & ongoing Technology Trends

- The Incumbent should prepare Market / Trend analysis on current product development.

- To design and generate requirement of R&D to fulfill organizational goal

- Realignment / reprocessing of existing products to enhance quality and save time and resources

- Product development, validation, defining the procedure for production and test risk management/ assessment including essential requirements assessment.

- Prior experience of handling R&D innovation management, project management, design management, resource planning, scheduling and capable of handling multiple projects.

- Worked with cross-functional teams such as product management, product design and development and testing teams to define deliverables, timelines and validate designs across geographies.

- Process invention disclosures from work, which include design for better usability, mechanisms for better functionality and form for better aesthetics.

- Responsible for Setting up KPI's, R&D roadmap, Training, Planning and Resource Management.
