EVP - Mobile & Digital Payment Solutions - Digital Banking Team

Position Summary :

This role in the Digital Banking team that contributes to creation of new mobile and digital payment solutions and is deeply involved in their implementation.

Responsibilities include building and commercializing of new digital products and solutions. These new solutions have to be deployed keeping in mind the evolving market, client and consumer needs with the objective of driving significant future market growth for the Bank.

The role holder must possess a unique blend of leadership, implementation and project skills as well have strong understanding of payments, mobile technology, consumer behavior and related businesses.

The role will work cross functionally with other local and regional teams in delivering on the objectives.

Responsibilities :

Product/Platform design :

- Thinking through the platform expansion plans and commercialization focus for target markets. As subject matter expert, the role requires developing the knowledge base on new digital solutions and customizing them for target markets and developing best practices that can leveraged by teams.

Go-to-market plans for focus markets and platforms :

- Success of new solutions/platforms requires seamless execution based on carefully design partner and client plans. This role leads in defining market plans for push-payments with specific focus on defined target partners/clients and solutions.

Project Management :

- New solution rollout has complexities involving multiple stake holders and the projects have tight deadlines and executive accountability associated with it. Role holder will lead and manage inter-related project tasks and associated deadlines to ensure that they are met.

Partner Management and building local partners :

- The role provides support for in-market partner and client relationship management. These solutions require rapid implementation while retaining flexibility for modification based on market insights and learning and building local accelerator partners.

Solution Deployment :

- Ensure effective solution implementation in market and pave the way for rollout in unchartered territory. The role holder has to manage the delicate balance between technology, risk, social/ local elements and profitability while commercializing these new solutions.

Qualifications :

Professional :

- 10+ years work experience prior experience in taking new products from the idea stage to commercial launch is preferred.

- Business degree and Technical education and background is advantageous.

- Project Management experience is strongly preferred.

- High value on direct exposure to digital payment solutions (mobile banking, payment cards).

- Experience of working on digital solutions in the FI or Technology space

- Fluency in English is required

Technical :

- Understanding of Payments, eCommerce & Wallet systems, Banking and Financial services, its platforms and commercial models

- Knowledge of payment and mobile technology and its impact on emerging digital business models

- Knowledge of Consumer behavior

- Knowledge of retail and its structure in India/South Asia

Business :

- Proven ability to influence multiple stakeholders.

- Willingness and ability to work in unstructured and informal settings with sophisticated clients and/or partners

- Excellent inter-personal/ client management skills

- Strong negotiation skills
