Job Role :

We're looking for Vice President Finance to join our team of high-performing professionals to help keep our finances insightful and instrumental to our continued success. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the Finance function for the company as well as for the entities being incubated by EVC. S/He must be well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting to broad investment and banking operations. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since all relative departments of the organization will be under their command. S/He will be a part of the leadership team and will report to the Board of Directors.

Role Objective :

- Responsible, either directly or by managing staff, for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, helping to drive the company's financial strategy and hiring needs

- Coordinate the development of the annual operating, capital, and program budgets, and reporting against the same

- Ensure cash flow is compatible with company operations, by overseeing the day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal control activities of the organization

- Lead the development and use of best-practice policies, practices, and tools that ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project management, cross team communications and workflow

- Comply with federal, state, and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing compliance, and taking action

Primary Responsibilities :

- Work with the senior management to efficiently develop proposal budgets, provide access to project finance information, and manage contract/grant compliance and reporting

- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, identify areas of cost reduction and process enhancement

- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure

- Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company

- Overall full control on General Ledger sections

- Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with all applicable Financial Accounting Standards Board, Internal Revenue Service, State Attorney General, and other relevant regulations

- Preparation of Periodic MIS / Monthly / Quarterly & Annual Financial Statements of accounts and complying annual audits as per US and Indian GAAP

- Preparation of monthly / annual budget of the company, performing financial analysis including ageing, variance analysis and financial statement review

- Remapping of GL Codes, Manage AR and AP

- Oversee annual / periodic internal audit, statutory and tax audit by auditors. Ensuring compliance of statutory returns / payment within due date as per Income Tax Act, Central Excise and Sales Tax Authorities

- Liaise with company bankers, insurers, tax consultants and, internal /statutory /tax auditors

- Perform/assisting for company secretarial functions and process management for ensuring compliance thereof

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Education :

- Master's degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance OR CA

Experience & Exposure :

- 10-15 Years- proven experience as CFO or relevant role (major experience preferred in IT Industry)

- International experience and exposure (preferably US)

- Experience with mergers and acquisitions and investor relations

- Executive experience with SaaS business models and their associated revenue recognition is strongly preferred

- Managing current span of 15-20 resources

- Managed $20 million annual revenue

Knowledge :

- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices

- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods

- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

Tech Savvy :

- Proficient in using accounting softwares such as Tally, Quickbooks, cloud accounting (Zoho Books, Fresh Books) etc.

- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)

Other Skills :

- Ability to strategize and solve problems

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and people skills

- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
