Job description

- Manage a team of analysts - coaches, provides feedback and motivates team members through clear communication, appropriate delegation and targeted intervention to ensure high quality output.

- Leads by example - able to support analysts on best research practices.

- Should have flair to work across different sectors and with good business acumen.

- Responsible for front ending/client management.

- Work in quick turnaround (yet insightful) environments and able to handle multiple projects with ease.

- Ability to structure and break-down problems/ advanced problem solving skills.

- Takes pro-active role in quality control process for the client and coaches and mentors more junior staff.

- Writing research reports post analyzing data from various sources.

- Conducts and initiates various training, allied activities with the team and the group.

- Lead a strategic initiative of strategic importance for the BU.

- Liaison with onshore colleagues to drive projects/workflow, trainings and best practices.

Skill Set Required/Experience

- Strong experience in each of areas of research - data compilation, analysis, synthesis and presentation, with high skill in drawing insights from information.

- Seasoned research professional/excellence in methods with diversified experience across sectors.

- Strong team handling/ client handling capabilities.

- Able to multi task and work in a dynamic environment.

- Very good knowledge of accounting, financial statements and ratios.

- Project, people and client management experience is necessary.

- Should have excellent writing skills - the individual is required to write reports.

- Functional Knowledge of databases (including excel plug-ins) e.g. Thomson One, OneSource/Avention, Lexis Nexis, Capital IQ, BvD or other sources.

- Advanced user of standard or meta search engines.

- Ability to understand the link between client needs, data and its application

- Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and persuasion skills.

- Good innovative thinking abilities and solution-oriented approach to work.

- Should be very comfortable with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Education

- Relevant experience in research and analytics - At least 5.5 years for Research Lead.

- Graduate/Post Graduate.
