- Manage team of research analysts - Coaches, provides feedback and motivates team members through clear communication, appropriate delegation and targeted intervention to ensure high quality output

- Develops deep expertise in specialized research tools, databases and other information sources

- Should have fair knowledge of Consumer Goods industry and its value chain, good business acumen.

- Should be able to bring an FMCG industry understanding of the client's organization which would include products, customer segments, competitive forces and trends shaping the industry.

Takes pro-active role in quality control process for the client and coaches and mentors subordinates

- Conducts and Initiates various training, allied activities with the team and the group.

- Identifying and recommending potential strategic markets and solution areas by cross referencing available primary and secondary data along with prior industry knowledge.

- Analyzing competitive market strategies through analysis of related competitor products and services along with identification of future trends and offerings.

- Performing market segment and sizing studies, opportunity analysis & technology analysis.

Providing competitive intelligence by preparing deliverables around Scorecards, Bench-marking, Competitive News Tracking, Financial assessment, etc.

- Proactively lead pre-sales activities, understand client business problem, and identify right solutions, develop proposals, tool-kits etc.

Skill Set Required :

- Seasoned research professional with a strong focus on FMCG industry. Some experience of working with a FMCG company (in Sales/Marketing/R&D verticals) is preferred.

- Updated with current events in the industry and ability to identify key trends shaping the industry.

- Knowledge of major players in the industry and competitive landscape.

- Understanding of industry standard processes and methodologies.

- Understanding of the industry regulatory environment.

- Highly adept in understanding business issues and translating them into research priorities.

Exposure of client front-ending :

- Ability to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner with utmost level of responsibility.

- Effective communicator with excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities

- Challenging current thinking by implementing new ways of working.

- Possess a flexible & detail oriented attitude.

- Ability to identify pro-actively ways to contribute to firms goals & mission.

- Ability to understand the consulting business environment, language, and processes

- Ability to manage and mentor people and identify development plans

Education and experience :

- The right candidate should have worked for 5-8 years with a reputed firm in Consumer Goods/FMCG Research and Analysis

- Good knowledge on research databases and Latest MS Office tools is required

- Graduate/Post Graduate
