Job Description  Our research teams (Macro research team in New York) is an innovative team within our Global Research Division that uses real-time evidence to analyse the short-term performance of different global economies as well as their impact on near-term performance of companies. We are a data-driven group interested in applying new sources of information, as well as new techniques, in our research.  The associate will support a highly rated Macro Strategy teams and interact with the relevant teams in our global offices. Working within the Macro team, the candidate will provide analytical support to the team including:  - Performing data collation and analysis,  - Creating and maintaining information on databases etc  - Working on financial fundamental and macro indicators  - Monitoring, analysing and commenting on day-to-day happenings across regions and markets with the aim of identifying and highlighting key trends   - Keeping the team abreast with key investment debates.  - Conducting basic statistical analysis for macro theme India  Skill Set Required/Experience  - Ability to understand and analyze economic and financial data  - Excellent skills relating to data manipulation and interpretation  - Strong analytical and problem solving skills  - Strong advanced Excel skills  - Ability to synthesize research findings  - Ability to write summary reports  - Knowledge of VBA and statistical analysis tools will be an added advantage  - Interpersonal Skills  Strong communication skills - written and verbal (principally telephone)  Initiative/Ability to be pro-active  Problem Solving/Questioning outlook  Dedication/Resilience  Ability to effectively work in a team  Ability to prioritize multiple tasks  Flexible approach to workload and demands of role  Other Skills  - Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets  - Any progress towards CFA (AIMR, USA) would be preferred  - Any experience in strategy will be a plus, though not a - must-have-   Education and Experience  - Post graduate/CA  - 3-7 years of Financial/ Industry experience  - Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets  Compensation  To be decided on a case-by-case basis
