ESG Expert for ESRS E4: Biodiversity & Ecosystems (m/f/d- 100% Remote)

Position Overview:

The ESG Expert for ESRS E4 will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies related to biodiversity and ecosystems, ensuring alignment with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) E4. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in environmental science, conservation, and ESG reporting with a strong emphasis on biodiversity and ecosystems.

Your Daily Tasks:

ESRS E4 Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with ESRS E4 standards related to biodiversity and ecosystems.

- Develop and enforce policies and procedures that meet ESRS E4 requirements.

Strategy Development:

- Formulate and implement ESG strategies aimed at preserving and enhancing biodiversity and ecosystems.

- Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate impacts on biodiversity and ecosystems.

Data Collection and Analysis:

- Gather, analyze, and report data pertaining to biodiversity and ecosystems.

- Monitor and evaluate the impact of biodiversity and ecosystem initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote sustainable biodiversity and ecosystem practices.

- Collaborate with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and NGOs to stay abreast of best practices and regulatory updates.

Reporting and Communication:

- Prepare ESG reports, highlighting the company's performance in biodiversity and ecosystem management.

- Communicate ESG achievements and challenges related to biodiversity and ecosystems to stakeholders.

Training and Development:

- Provide training and support to internal teams on ESRS E4 and sustainable biodiversity and ecosystem management.

- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging issues, and regulatory changes in biodiversity and ecosystems.

What are we looking for:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Conservation Biology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management with a focus on biodiversity and ecosystems.

- Thorough understanding of ESRS E4 standards, biodiversity and ecosystem management, and relevant regulations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in data analysis and ESG reporting tools.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Relevant certifications in ESG or environmental management are a plus.
