Roles and responsibilities :
- Manage the entire product development lifecycle, by consistently improving Product quality, while ensuring deliverables are met within timelines and in a cost-effective manner.
- Identify, develop, and manage vendor base for timely procurement at favourable terms to ensure smooth operations.
- Own the P&L for the Product portfolio in collaboration with the Category teams.
- Work closely with the Category teams to understand Customer needs & review new product development initiatives.
- Implement and maintain cost-effective inventory controls for materials, goods, and supplies.
- Work with Marketing team to build GTM strategy and consistently improve & communicate product features as per customer feedback.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to conceptualize, plan, and storyboard various ideas focused towards Business growth.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies to ensure the company's Product Development strategy remains relevant and practical.
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
- Strong understanding of best practices in the Supply Chain process (including Procurement, Logistics, and Import
The Ideal Candidate :
- 2-5 years' experience across Product development, Sourcing or Procurement roles
- Prior experience in Auto equipment/Solar/Home (Bed & Bath/ furnishing/Dcor etc.) companies would be preferred
- Experience in dealing with the China & Global vendor ecosystem
- Great Negotiation skills. A mix of business acumen & Product knowledge
- Tenacious and self-motivated with the ability to drive and achieve business goals
- Understanding of global & local supply chain regulations & laws
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques with Product compliance requirement
