ETG - Business Head - Sales - Gas

Business Head will play an active and key role in managing a team across South Africa and other locations to develop the business, increase market share of the current brands, and work on new product development for Gas Sector. The Business Head will be responsible for the bottom line of the business, by effectively managing, monitoring and leading functions such as finance, sales, marketing, production and human resource management.

Please note: We need candidates who have only LPG Sector Experience and not anyone from LNG or CNG Sector.

Key Role:

1. Oversight of production and operations at all the manufacturing plants and create operational efficiencies minimize by reducing costs through a lean manufacturing approach

2.Develop strategies for growing into untapped market segments i.e LPG, Gas.

3. Working closely with sales & marketing personnel to sensitize regions and markets with less awareness of products through marketing strategies

4. Coordination of meetings with key customers, and regular follow-up with customers across the Region, leveraging our existing Sales Team

5. Ensuring route to market is efficient and timely and the channel distribution is appropriately suited for a basket of products.

6. Managing promotional/marketing events

7. Management and training of employees, incl. sales representatives and merchandizers

8. Oversight of logistics coordination for customer deliveries through distributors (local) or 3PL providers (export)

9. Coordinating with distributors and internal team members neighboring markets to build brands and leverage economies of scale in production to reduce overall costs

10. Responsible for capital expansion projects to increase manufacturing capacities based on forecasted demands

11. Risk management through closely monitoring global trends in commodities and exchange rate volatilities

Requirement :

1. Strong Communication & Diplomacy Skills

2. Knowledge of Customer Service Skills

3. Innovator and a candidate who can think outside the box

4. Co-coordinating conferences, exhibitions and other marketing events.

5. Proficient in MS Office Suite namely Word, Excel & Powerpoint

6. Experience with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator a plus

7. Experience in a LPG industry is a must.

8. Africa experience and prior travel into the region would be an advantage

9. Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects

10. Ability to complete projects timely (deadline driven) and accurately is critical

11. Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills

12. Ability to work well with others (teamwork) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

13. The role requires a hands-on and independent-minded individual

14. Consummate professionals with the highest integrity and ethical standards

15. Relevant degrees and qualifications in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance, Marketing or related fields
