Estate Manager - Tea/Coffee
Skills & Qualifications :
- Graduate in Agriculture, Horticulture, Management or related subjects,
- MBA in Operations Management is preferable (though not necessary)
- Exceptional supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum 10 + years of experience in coffee/tea estate management and agricultural operations
- Strong understanding of Coffee/Tea Business including processing and quality
- Strong and fair leader with excellent relationship management skills
- Fluency in English, Tamil and additional languages would be an advantage
- Ability to work under pressure and multi task as needed
- Good Proficiency in MS Office and Accounting Systems
- Proven experience in project management, costing and achieve timelines
- Experience in Training & Development and Rewards & Recognition programs for workers
- Implementation of SOPs for Estate Operations and Management
General Job Description:
The Estate Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing the daily operations of a Coffee/Tea estate of few hundreds acres in South India , ensuring optimal productivity, quality, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills and a thorough understanding of Coffee/Tea cultivation and estate management practices.
Duties & Responsibilities (Indicative Only) :
- Supervise all aspects of Coffee/Tea production, including planting, maintenance, harvesting, and processing.
- Implement best practices in cultivation and production to maximise yield and quality.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with Health, Safety and Environment regulations.
- Manager and develop a diverse team, providing training and support to ensure high performance.
- Foster a positive work environment that motivates teamwork and collaboration
- Prepare and manage estate's budget to ensure the financial targets are met.
- Oversee procurement processes for materials and supplies necessary for estate operations.
- Conduct financial reconciliations and assist in the preparation of annual financial reports.
- Liaise with local and state government authorities ensuring compliance with regulations and good relationship.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote the estate and its initiatives.
- Plan and oversee estate development projects, including infrastructure improvements and sustainability initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
