Job Overview:

General Manager - HR, Essar Capital will play a key role in advancing our HR function by providing high-level expertise in managing and executing HR activities across the organization. This role involves overseeing complex HR processes, developing strategic HR initiatives, and acting as a trusted advisor to both the Senior Director HR and employees. Taking complete ownership for standalone deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic HR Leadership:

o Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's overall business strategy.

o Provide strategic guidance on HR issues and support senior management in decision-making.

2. Talent Management:

o Drive initiatives for talent development, succession planning, and leadership development.

o Developing and implementing learning strategies.

3. Employee Relations and Engagement:

o Serve as a senior point of contact for complex employee relations issues, providing expert advice and conflict resolution.

o Develop and implement employee engagement programs and strategies to enhance workplace culture and satisfaction.

4. Compensation and Benefits Administration:

o Oversee the development and management of competitive compensation structures and benefits programs.

o Conduct market research and analysis to ensure compensation and benefits are aligned with industry standards.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:

o Ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.

o Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures to mitigate risks and ensure best practices.

6. Performance Management and Development:

o Implement and manage performance management processes, including performance appraisals and development plans.

o Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development.

7. Training and Organizational Development:

o Design and deliver advanced training programs and workshops to address organizational needs and enhance employee skills.

o Lead organizational development initiatives to support change management and growth.

8. HR Analytics and Reporting:

o Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and make data-driven recommendations.

o Prepare and present detailed HR reports and analysis to senior leadership.

9. Mentorship and Leadership:

o Lead HR projects and initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or relevant certification preferred.

- 13-18 years of experience in HR, with at least 3-5 years in a senior or managerial HR role.

- Extensive knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

- Proven experience in strategic HR planning, employee relations, and talent management.

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach.

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
