Job Title: ESG Expert for ESRS S4: Consumers & End Users

The European Technology Chamber is a registered NGO dedicated to enabling European companies to leverage technology for the benefit of Europe and mankind. We are seeking an ESG Expert for Consumers & End Users (ESRS G1) to develop and implement strategies that drive governance and consumer/end-user engagement, ensuring alignment with the EU Green Deal and European/Global sustainability standards.

ESG Expert for ESRS S4: Consumers & End Users (m/f/d) - 100% Remote

Your daily tasks:

ESG Projects:

- Develop and implement ESG strategies to enhance sustainable governance and consumer/end-user engagement in line with the EU Green Deal, incorporating European sustainability standards such as ESRS and CSRD.

- Conduct ESG assessments and audits to identify risks and opportunities.

- Monitor and report on ESG performance, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.

- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.

Sustainability Assessments:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current consumer/end-user practices to identify areas for improvement and enhance sustainability performance.

- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to ESG metrics for consumer/end-user engagement.

Collaboration and Integration:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and human resources, to integrate ESG, sustainability, and governance principles into business operations.

- Work with external partners, suppliers, and certification bodies to advance ESG goals and certifications related to consumer/end-user engagement.

Reporting and Compliance:

- Lead the preparation and submission of ESG and sustainability reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and regulations in sustainability reporting and governance practices.

Training and Development:

- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on sustainability and governance consumer/end-user practices.

- Support the development of corporate sustainability goals and initiatives, aligning with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks.

Continuous Improvement:

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize resources across all business operations.

Industry Engagement:

- Contribute insights and participate in the creation of publications, including White Papers, Position Papers, and Sector Papers.

Consultancy Services:

Offer consultancy services to internal and external stakeholders on sustainability initiatives and governance consumer/end-user engagement practices.

Consumers & End Users:

- Promote a strong corporate culture that prioritizes governance and consumer/end-user engagement.

- Implement and oversee protection measures for whistle-blowers.

- Develop and enforce policies related to animal welfare.

- Manage political engagement and lobbying activities to ensure alignment with governance standards.

- Oversee management of relationships with suppliers, including payment practices.

- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and detect corruption and bribery, including conducting training programs.

- Investigate and report incidents related to unethical practices affecting consumers and end users.rs and end users.

What we are looking for:

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environment Engineering / Sustainability / ESG, Governance, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sustainability reporting and governance/consumer engagement within the corporate sector.

Knowledge:

- In-depth knowledge of European sustainability standards and frameworks such as ESRS, CSRD, and expertise in ESG strategies and reporting.

- Skills:

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.

- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Certifications: Certification in sustainability or business governance is advantageous.
