Job Title: ESG Expert for ESRS S3: Affected Communities (m/f/d) - 100% Remote

The European Technology Chamber (EUTech) is a registered NGO dedicated to enabling European companies to leverage technology for the benefit of Europe and mankind. We are seeking an ESG Expert for Affected Communities (ESRS S3) to develop and implement strategies that drive positive community impact, ensuring alignment with the EU Green Deal and European/Global sustainability standards.
Your Daily Tasks:
ESG Projects:
- Develop and implement ESG strategies to enhance community engagement and impact in line with the EU Green Deal, incorporating European sustainability standards such as ESRS and CSRD.
- Conduct ESG assessments and audits to identify community-related risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and report on ESG performance related to community impact, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant frameworks and standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate community considerations into business operations and decision-making processes.
Sustainability Assessments:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of current community engagement practices to identify areas for improvement and enhance sustainability performance.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs related to ESG metrics for community impact.
Collaboration and Integration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, compliance, and human resources, to integrate ESG, sustainability, and community engagement principles into business operations.
- Work with external partners, suppliers, and certification bodies to advance ESG goals and certifications related to community impact.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Lead the preparation and submission of ESG and sustainability reports related to community impact, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and regulations in sustainability reporting and community engagement practices.
Training and Development:
- Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on sustainability and community engagement practices.
- Support the development of corporate sustainability goals and initiatives, aligning with organizational objectives and industry benchmarks.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize community engagement and impact across all business operations.
Industry Engagement:
- Contribute insights and participate in the creation of publications, including White Papers, Position Papers, and Sector Papers on community impact and engagement.
Consultancy Services:
- Offer consultancy services to internal and external stakeholders on sustainability initiatives and community engagement practices.
Community Engagement:
- Promote a strong corporate culture that prioritizes community engagement and impact.
- Develop and implement policies and strategies to enhance relationships with affected communities.
- Oversee management of relationships with community stakeholders, ensuring alignment with governance standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and address community-related issues, including conducting training programs.
- Investigate and report incidents related to negative community impact.
What We Are Looking For:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environment Engineering, Sustainability, ESG, Community Development, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sustainability reporting and community engagement within the corporate sector.
Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of European sustainability standards and frameworks such as ESRS, CSRD, and expertise in ESG strategies and reporting.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Certifications:
- Certification in sustainability or community engagement is advantageous.
