About our Client - Our client is a boutique Investment Bank that is now looking to expand its institutional equities research desk. The strategy of the institutional equities desk wants to tap the mid caps space in India and is looking for a Lead Analyst for the TMT (Technology - majority focus on the internet and E-commerce space, Media, Telecom) sector.

Job Description - Reporting into the Head of Equities, your responsibilities will include:

- Interaction with company promoters/officials and site visits of the companies under coverage

- Training the team of research associates

- Covering predominantly midcaps and a few large cap stocks across TMT

- Analyzing unlisted companies in the Internet and E-commerce space

- Assist on road shows both domestic and international

- Regular interaction and sending out daily updates to all the clients serviced

- Annual report analysis, quarterly result updates, event updates, channel checks (dealers, end-user industries) and global competitors' analysis

- Attending various industry conferences and building long lasting relationships with investors, regulators and other market participants

- Communicating efficiently with the sales traders and sales team about the stocks under coverage on a daily basis

The Successful Candidate - You will have an MBA from a top tier business school / CA, CFA and a Bachelor's in Engineering/IT is desirable. You will have ideally 8-12 years of relevant work experience in sell side equity research with at least 5 years of experience covering the TMT sector with an MNC/ tier one domestic brokerage. Candidates who have covered specifically the internet and E-commerce space globally will be preferable.
