Buy Side Equity Research Role with a leading Investment Bank in Bangalore

- The Research Analyst team in Bangalore is an extension of global portfolio manager teams sharing broad research and portfolio responsibilities.

- Research Analyst will analyze financial statements, the industry, and competitive landscape, and evaluate company management; analyze market share, macro trends and other affecting factors; build and maintain financial models with focus on key business drivers and valuation

Research Analyst will work with portfolio managers to :

- Research and develop views on macro and micro-level investment issues, individual stocks and the portfolio.

- Propose new strategies that enhance portfolio characteristics

Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Master's degree or MBA preferred

Job Details :

- Passion for financial markets and investing

- Strong interest in the financial markets, actuarial science and a good investment sense/commercial instinct

- Strong understanding of financial statements, macroeconomics and valuation techniques

- At least 1-2 years of experience in buy-side or a related discipline (sell-side, banking or financial modeling) preferred

- Ability to communicate investment strategies and rationales to audiences of varying levels of sophistication

- Ability to synthesize multiple sources of information such as market data, academic research, sell side research, and news articles, to draw out conclusions and identify their implications

- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Detail oriented and meticulous, strong quantitative and analytical skills

- Intelligent, creative, with good problem-solving abilities

- A self-starter able to work independently and thrive in a team environment

- Excellent writing and communication skills

- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
