Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Equity Research Analyst with a strong focus on the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sectors. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to support investment recommendations for companies under coverage. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial modeling, company valuation, and preparing research reports for investors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collect and analyze secondary and primary data to build and maintain industry databases.

- Conduct industry analysis and regularly update insights on industry trends and developments.

- Prepare financial statement forecasts for companies under coverage, estimating fair value and providing investment recommendations.

- Draft equity research reports detailing industry outlooks and investment theses on specific stocks or sectors under coverage.

- Provide regular research updates and insights on industries and companies under coverage.

- Prepare presentations and research materials for analyst marketing roadshows.

- Liaise with investor relations teams, attend quarterly earnings calls, and participate in analyst meetings.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company performance and industry conditions to inform research reports and recommendations.

Technical & Behavioral Competencies:

- Experience: Preferably 2-5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on equity research in the BFSI sector.

- Education: MBA from a reputed institution, CA, or CFA.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in financial modeling and valuation techniques. Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the BFSI sectors, including valuation methodologies specific to these industries.

- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with a passion for investing and maintaining high standards of integrity.

- Communication: Excellent business writing skills and strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with company personnel, industry experts, and internal stakeholders.

- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with equity sales, sales traders, and other internal teams.
