Equity Research Associate

We are hiring for Equity Research Associate for a client based in Mumbai who is a leading KPO with more than 2600 professionals working with them worldwide. They have dedicated on-site teams and scalable global knowledge centers in Chile, China, India and Romania, which provide multi-time zone and multi-lingual services.

Job Description -

Role

Our client’s research teams generate investment ideas and then market those ideas to institutional investors, hedge funds, and our own internal sales force and traders. The associate will support a highly rated European Strategist and interact with the relevant teams in our global offices.

Working within the Strategy team, the candidate will provide analytical support to the team including:

- Perform data collation and analysis,

- Create and maintain information on databases etc

- Monitor, analyze and comment on day-to-day newsflow

- Help with thematic projects

- Over a period of time you will write reports and participate in the investment recommendation

- decision making process.

Educational Requirements:

- CA/ MBA/ CFA (AIMR)

- 1-2 years of Financial/ Industry experience

- Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets

Skills Required:

- Ability to understand and analyse economic and financial data

- Excellent skills relating to data manipulation and interretation

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong Excel skills

- Ability to synthesize research findings

- Ability to write summary reports

- Knowledge of VBA and statistical analysis tools will be an added advantage

Interpersonal Skills

- Strong communication skills - written and verbal (principally telephone)

- Initiative/Ability to be pro-active

- Problem Solving/Questioning outlook

- Dedication/Resilience

- Ability to effectively work in a team

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks

- Flexible approach to workload and demands of role

Other Skills

- Strong academic record, quantitative skills and an interest in and understanding of financial markets

- Any progress towards CFA (AIMR, USA) would be preferred

- Any experience in strategy will be a plus, though not a ‘must-have’
