Role & Responsibilities:

Research Analyst will work in conjunction with the managing partner to conduct fundamental analysis on companies in various consumption related sectors - FMCG, Retail, Auto, NBFC and other B2C sectors.

The incumbents would be responsible for in-depth analysis using a range of quantitative and qualitative methods. This analysis in the form of written reports and earnings model will be used internally to make investment decision.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

- Build and update financial models for companies and sectors.

- Create and maintain detailed information databases for sectors and valuation comparables

- Prepare detailed investment brief that fit within the investment framework of Alder Capital. Also regularly prepare company updates (post results/meets/events) for the coverage universe.

- Develop relationships with CEOs, CFOs, Brand managers and IR department of various companies under coverage.

- Maintain lateral relationship with various industry experts, consultants and auditors to gain industry / company insights

- Develop relationship with sell-side analysts

- Travel to attend company and industry presentations and conferences.

Qualification:

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) from a reputed university - Mandatory

- Additional Qualifications preferred - Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA)

- Investment banking and Equity Research background from consumption related sectors will be strongly preferred

- Candidate must possess exceptional quantitative abilities, strategic perspective, and written/verbal communication skills

- Detailed knowledge of Bloomberg, Capitaline, CMIE database, Analytical & Financial tools

- Ideal candidate must have minimum 3 years research analyst experience from Sell-side (Institutional Brokerage) or Buy-side (MF/Insurance/FII).

Fixed Salary : 6-8 Lpa + Incentives based on call made in stock picking
