Equity Research Analyst - Buy Side

We are seeking a talented and motivated Equity Research Analyst for a buy-side opportunity in Pune. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience and will work directly with our buy-side client, focusing on mid-cap and small-cap Indian listed stocks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct in-depth research on companies assigned by the client and comparable companies within the sector

- Compile and analyze historical financial statements to understand various trends and ratios

- Build and maintain comparable companies analysis of various companies in multiple sectors

- Develop and update forecasting models using historical trends and forward looking assumptions

- Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies to identify intrinsic value

- Review and summarize investor conference calls

- Attend and participate in calls with company management and take notes

- Conduct brief sector analysis to understand industry trends and dynamics

- Monitor and report on key news developments affecting relevant sectors and companies

- Support the Fund Manager in making informed investment decisions

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of experience in equity research or related field

- Educational background: CA, CFA, or MBA

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Required Skills:

- Excellent research and data interpretation skills

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis

- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques

- Familiarity with capital markets and equity research processes

- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise reports

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases
