Job Purpose

The role is primarily responsible for assessing credit worthiness of companies through analysing financial statements and preparing ratings report

The role provides subject matter expertise to the team and is responsible for handling complex reports

Contributing to Research

Key Responsibilities

- Analysing financial statements, performance and trend analysis for assessing the credit worthiness of the company

- Independently handling rating assignments for entities of varying sizes and preparing reports and rationale for the assigned ratings

- Preparing rating report by including profile of the rated company, key rating considerations, credit risk assessment, ratio analysis like proficiency, turnover & solvency, financial projection/modelling, operational & industry analysis

- Adhering to standard operating procedure & policies

- Conducting research on the industry in which the company is operating and keeping a track on the performance of the industry as a whole

- Analysing the business model, identifying strengths, weakness, risks, understanding the revenue models and the corporate structure of the businesses

- Ensuring quality check of the work deliverables

- Assist senior analysts in areas related to credit evaluation and monitoring

- Providing guidance to peers

Qualifications and Functional Competencies

- Preferably a CA (1st Attempt), or an MBA from Tier 1 /2 /3 with experience in Mid / large corporate analysis

- Analyst role 2 to 4 years experience of analysing

- Ability to understand the business of clients

- Ability to analyse financial statements

- Good understanding of the financial and banking sector

- Analytical bent of mind

- Ability to create impact through the expertise

- Interpersonal skills

- Good report writing skills

- Good communication skills
