Research Analyst - Equity - Large Pension Fund India

Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant or MBA (finance),/ CFA will be an added advantage/

- 5 to 10 Years of experience.

- Platform experience within Bloomberg and {one or more of: Morningstar Direct, Informa PSN, Facstet, Axioma, or Barra AEGIS}

- Profound understanding of equity markets on a global level. In addition, a deep understanding of fundamental analysis, financial modelling, asset allocation, and strategy research.

- Prior experience exclusively researching "bfsi/banking " stocks.

The Role:

- Research Analyst performs various functions, including but not limited to assisting fund managers in analyzing investment securities, collating financial data, predicting profits and losses, interpreting company statistics, networking, designing investment strategies, analyzing market trends, updating reports, developing screening tools, and assisting senior analysts with ad-hoc duties.

- Data mining, number-crunching, and assist in making informed investment decisions, increasing return on investments, managing financial risk, designing sound investment strategies, and to accurately predict market trends

Specific Responsibilities:

- Write Initiating Coverage report for adding companies to the Equity portfolio.

- Write quarterly, periodic reports covering quarterly financial results and any other material information.

- Work independently covering two sectors under large and midcap.

- Maintain and work on financial model for the portfolio companies of macro and industry data series as well as company specific financial models.

- Communicate key findings and recommendations to appropriate unit/team

- Conduct assessment on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks, and opportunities

- Conduct industry diligence and primary research through surveys, expert conference calls, and various channel checks to evaluate industry trends Participate in industry and company sponsored conferences and field trips.
