Summary :

The Analytic Consulting Group partners with both internal and external clients, and data providers, leveraging various analytics to drive strategic thought and effective decision making. The Manager, Analytics manages analytic initiatives from conception to completion, providing clients and key stakeholders actionable results and insights that help them achieve their business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Serve as project lead on most types of analyses performed by the group - develop project plans and manage work efforts of supporting team members

- Proven experience and technical leadership in software systems design, administration and support

- Familiar with design and development of large-scale applications in high performance parallel computing environment

- Assess client business and marketing challenges, as well as data assets, and recommend the most appropriate analytic methodology to meet client goals

- Serve as day-to-day contact with Epsilon account team and clients

- Track project resources and progress against task plan to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery

- Develop and execute SAS/SQL or related programs as needed, though typically relying on more junior resources for this work (some positions require proficiency in digital analytic tools including Google and/or Adobe Analytics and familiarity with digital data, in addition to or in lieu of SAS/SQL)

- Track data and other issues and document client communications to ensure that client expectations are managed appropriately and deadlines are negotiated appropriately

- Assume primary responsibility for developing deliverables associated with analytic projects/responsible for the quality of the deliverables overseen

- Present analytic findings to account teams and clients

- Handle multiple projects (2-5) concurrently

- Write proposals for analytic projects, including task plans and pricing - primarily for existing client up-sell and add-on project work

- Provide support of pure new business development - presenting analytic capabilities and writing proposals and SOWs

- A minimum of 1 year proven supervisory experience

- Responsible for 8 direct reports - providing coaching, mentoring and professional development and ensuring adequate utilization levels

- Demonstrate understanding of the full range of analytic offerings in the Insider's Guide

Minimum Qualifications :

- Bachelor or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, etc.)

- 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics field

- Some positions require a minimum of 5 years of experience conducting digital analytics

- Proficient in SAS and/or SQL; minimum 10 years of experience

- Strong analytic thought process and ability to synthesize and interpret findings

- Acute attention to detail (QA/QC)

- Team player with the ability to mentor and manage junior resources

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

- Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects and resources concurrently

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good at developing relationships across cross-functional teams (including statistical, technical, and marketing resources)

- Ability to display data visually, creating powerful presentations which effectively demonstrate the value of analytic deliverables

- Highly motivated and collaborative

- Strong technical skills

- Effective organization and time management skills

Desirable Qualifications :

- Advanced degree (Master- s/PhD) in Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline

- [Industry-specific] marketing experience/knowledge

- Experience mentoring or managing direct report(s)

- Proficient with business visualization tools (e.g., interactive dashboard software)

- Ability to program in newer and emerging languages such as R and Python; working knowledge of Hadoop and other big data technologies

- Experience with website tracking tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics

- Experience with email delivery and reporting tools such as Harmony or ExactTarget

- Familiarity with digital media tools (Dart, Atlas) or social media analytics tools (Facebook Insights, Twitter, and Pinterest Analytics)
