Epsilon - Data Scientist - Machine Learning

Job Type: Permanent.

Responsibilities:

- Work across a whole range of structured and unstructured data to generate insights on customer behavior

- Explore data assets available and identify the right data sets to be tapped for the business problem

- Extensive knowledge of machine learning techniques and workings of underlying algorithms

- Identify creative approaches / external data to solve the business problem

- Generate insights from numbers and trends in a complex data environment

- Use open sourced tools like Python and R to mine, clean and generate insights

- Work with data designers to put across a compelling story from the insights generated, to senior stakeholders

- Establish ongoing client consulting relationships including the implementation of a machine learning tracker (this would be a tool). Data Design powered by machine learning will be able to pinpoint where we can optimize the efficiency & effectiveness of as much client consumer communications as possible. - Work with cross functional teams and partners

- Conduct audits of available data resources & tools to develop recommended solutions in conjunction with Planning & the Account teams. Depending on the client's unique situation, solutions may incorporate a wide array of data, technology, partners, analytics, and professional services

Required skills :

- Overall experience of 7-8 years in analytics / data science

- Bachelor or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (statistics, economics, mathematics, marketing analytics)

- Minimum 5-6 year's hands on experience in build statistical / machine learning models

- Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial, - startup- environment within a larger company

- Demonstrated success autonomously managing complex projects that involve multiple work

- Strong coding skills in either Python or R

- Proficient in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

- Solid planning, priority setting, and project management skills with experience managing multiple projects concurrently

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Successful developing relationships within and across functional teams (including statistical, technical, and marketing resources)

- Highly motivated and collaborative

- Strong technical skills

- Acute attention to detail (QA/QC)

- Effective organization and time management skills
