A leading middle east bank is looking to hire candidates with experience in enterprise risk management.

Job Description:

Generic Responsibilities:

- Corporate Governance and Compliance: Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations and ensure all divisional activities comply with corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks

- Policies & Processes: Develop and implement relevant policies and procedures and conduct regular reviews to remain relevant and effective.

- Risk Management: Work alongside Risk Management in ensuring that the function works fully within the set frameworks, proactively monitor and report on risk exposure in order to enhance control effectiveness.

- Compliance: Work fully within the bank's Compliance regulations and standards.

Core Responsibilities:

- Post Fact Compliance: Ensure adherence to all approval terms and conditions while conducting due diligence on the end use of funds and monitoring project progress, including payments, cash flows, and identifying any deviations or irregularities.

- IFRS Implementation: Calculate UAE IFRS9 and generate/analyze ECL numbers for regulatory and internal submissions

- ICAAP Management: Conduct ICAAP and stress testing by running models, preparing the CBUAE submission report, and updating model methodology and local approvals.

- Recovery Plan Development: Prepare the Recovery Plan and Recovery Plan policy for submissions to both

- Risk Appetite Preparation: Develop risk appetite statements, CAMEL ratios, and recovery plan dashboards.

- Provision Monitoring: Ensure provisions comply with directives while monitoring and updating past dues and watch lists.

- Operational Risk Management: Manage Operational Risk Management (ORM) and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) processes, reviewing procedures and controls.

- CORF Report Review: Review the CORF report to ensure compliance and coordinate with relevant units on findings.

- Quarterly Provisions Calculation: Prepare quarterly provisions calculations and coordinate with the Head Office Provisions unit on projected provisions.

- Scorecard Coordination: Coordinate with Head Office Risk Analytics and ERM on Retail and Corporate scorecards, serving as the single point of contact for CRE-related issues and vendor coordination.

- Rating Reports Preparation: Prepare Rating Migration reports, Rating Exceptions reports, and related documentation.

- ERM Policy Updates: Prepare and update Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) related policies for the bank.
