Enterprise Architect - Telecom Domain

Job Description:

- Able to develop end to end architecture for complex business functionality in telecom domain

- Assists other application architecture teams in the development of application specific architectures across multiple platforms using multiple languages and multiple development methodologies (must have a software development background)

- Assists application architecture teams to adapt best practices for Service Oriented Architecture, data architecture, data governance and business process flows

- Capable of understanding iGrafix business process flows and able to provide guidance on enhancements to these flows

- A knowledge of Business Process Modeling terminology

- Able to evaluate the business requirements and translate them into a meaningful High Level Approaches/Architectures that serve as a guiding document for both IT and business for implementation

- Practical knowledge of enterprise considerations and business process issues

- Practical knowledge of enterprise wide deployment, scalability, availability, and performance issues

- Builds relationship across the various IT departments/stakeholders and collaborates on the agreed architectures for execution of the program / project

- Able to work remotely with business counterparts in understanding business requirements and in driving better business solutions

- Champion/advocate organization wide initiatives and acts as catalyst to bridge the gap between business vision and application architects

- Provides mentorship and training on architectural principles, processes and tools - is a champion for the Enterprise Architecture Big Rules and concepts

- Ensures the architecture remains current on key architecture evolutions in the IT industry, especially with the company's strategic technology partners

- Pays attention to outside influences on new architecture models and participates in industry discussions when possible to learn where enterprises are headed

- Champions the adoption of standard architecture frameworks such as eTOM, TOGAF etc. and assists the organization to develop a roadmap for adoption of such standards

- Quickly understands organization wide initiatives such as VLSS, agile practices etc. and helps to transform the business by leveraging such initiatives

- Assists in prioritizing initiatives using ROI based approaches.

- Questions business requirements in detail and correlates their value add to the corporation by tying them to one of the three financial statements - Balance sheet, Cash Flow statement, and Statement of Income

- Challenges business requirements and understands the ROI and how the business will obtain the return they predict by reviewing the financial business case

- Works with multiple business functions such as financial operations, legal, sales, and service teams and balances resources and ensures alignment of technology strategy with the business vision

- Must be co-located with the development teams in India and work hand in hand with them to help in the transfer of Enterprise Architecture thinking to the development community

- Able to break down the technical complexities of a project into easy to understand less technical concepts for business partners

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Able to present at multiple levels of management, including executive level in the organization

- Able to juggle several key projects at the same time

- Good project management skills and tracking of milestones

- Good negotiation skills

- Has working knowledge of Sparx for system modeling or similar modeling tools

- Working knowledge on VRD

- Familiar with products and services that VES sells

- VLSS basic understanding of the DMAC process

- Working knowledge of DevOps

- Prior work experience with Agile development teams
