Primary Responsibilities:
- Creates product and project vision working with Marketing, Business Development and Senior Leadership
- Defines project scope, success criteria and business objectives. Manages Engineering Priority List (EPL) and Project Priority List (PPL) projects
- As an expert on the product, leads customer specification responses as part of order fulfillment and slotting processes
- Participates in system configuration reviews and polices customer needs as translated into sales order so that build can commence without interruption
- Manages scope of new products for refurbishment offering within the Reliant product definition, determines cost targets and full system cost with respect to new
- Develops harvested materials from product upgrades through testing and refurbishment for use in hybrid new part / refurbish part offering
- With Business development, manages demo tool configuration through customer configuration to ensure customer gets what Lam demonstrated
- Expertise in change management to lead product transitions from main development product group
- Select, prioritize and execute, in coordination with Engineering Management and Account Teams, critical elements of product life cycle such as obsolescence process, customer Non-Standard Request (NSRs), management of Product Option Architecture (POA)
- Optimize parts end-of-life process by managing excess and obsolescence to utilize all available material across remote factories and suppliers, drive strategy for replacements
- Be responsible for customer notifications, interaction with manufacturing and field support
Demonstrated skills required for performing the job:
- Ability to create project plans, optimize resource allocation and prioritize across multiple projects
- Sound business judgement acumen, with an ability to analyze business cases, analyze and optimize financial impact
- Decision making and problem solving in the absence of complete or accurate data, with a bias towards action
- Strong communication and Stakeholder management, both within various global organizations of the company and customer facing sales teams across multiple geographical locations
- Relevant semiconductor/Medical capital equipment Engineering or Product Management experience with complex systems and effect on wafer results
- Familiarity with refurbishment business process of products and subsystems
Preferred Skills:
- Have knowledge of best practices and how product management function integrates with other areas
- Awareness of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- General/functional understanding of business processes
- Ability to anticipate business and regulatory issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
