Engineering Manager - Plant - IIT/NIT

Manager- Engineering (BE/ BTech- Mechanical)

ONLY BE/ Btech- Mechanical from any institute preferably IIT or Regional Colleges (REC) batch: 2001-02-03-04

KRAs:

- Provide guidance to the team of engineers and Maintenance operatives and establish robust maintenance capability for effective execution of plant maintenance program.

- To manage engineering and maintenance requirements of all block and common utilities at Plant.

- Work with block Managers/Block Executives/Department Managers to arrive at engineering solutions for meeting relevant objectives.

- Planning and execution of all major projects as assigned within time and cost objectives.

- Preparation of Revenue (Store, spare, repairs and Power & Fuel)) and Capital Budgets. Identification key factors for controlling the budget.

- Lead the process of continuous up gradation of engineering practices and technology as relevant to business needs

- To ensure at design and engineering stage adherence with the company’s HSE policy

- Identify opportunities for improving quality, manufacturing efficiencies and safety through engineering solutions.

- To proactively practice in implementation of company’s Health, Safety and Environment and Quality policies and systems

- Review of weekly & Monthly score card and taking corrective steps on Engineering issues.

- Leading the TPM agenda through cross functional team. Heading the PM Pillar and ensuring that pillar targets are achieved and team is motivated to adopt the TPM way of life.

- Providing active engineering supports to other functions such as other processing center etc.

- Upgrading own knowledge to be more productive & cost effective – sharing it with other team members.

- Building Talent thru training, regular feedback and Coaching.

- Liasioning with Statutory bodies – Boiler Inspector, Factories inspector, Weight & measure, CCOE as per the acts.

- Implementing Best practices basis learning from other plants.

Experience Required:

- Minimum 8 years experience in managing projects, equipment design &installation, maintenance of plant and machinery.

- Conversant with ASME, Pressure vessel Code, Piping design codes.

- Good knowledge of legal and safety requirements

- Exposure of TPM & Project management is desirable.

Functional exposure: Mechanical Maintenance & Projects and Exposure to TPM.
