Engineering Manager - Internet Domain

We have an opening of Engineering Manager Position with one of the leading MNC who are into Internet domain. Below are the details.

About the Job:

- You will lead the team of application engineers, a Bangalore-based team that architects and builds many key Client enterprise applications. You will be responsible for a wide spectrum of applications supporting many Client groups. They range from custom built applications or more standard third-party and open source business process applications.

- You will be responsible for whole systems, based out of Bangalore, not just parts of systems. You will be empowered to make strategic and technical decisions for your team and for Client. The systems that you build will have a first order impact on Client’s continued growth.

Responsibilities:

- The Engineering Manager must have a strong background building and supporting Enterprise Applications as well as People and Project Management experience. In this role, you will lead the team through design, development, testing and deployment of Enterprise Applications.

- This is a hands-on management position where you will be designing and writing code along with managing a team of Application Software Engineers. You will be responsible for the planning and measurement of all development activities. You will be leading a team that innovates new products using agile methods. You will work with the development QA and Business user teams to create tests.

Basic Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related fields.

- Experience: 10+ years or equivalent experience.

- Minimum 3 years experience with Java/C++/Ruby on Rails etc in a hands-on development role.

- Minimum 3 years experience with any RDBMS.

- Exposure to Enterprise Application Integration technologies and techniques.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to communicate with and understand the Business Process.

- Ability to comprehend user business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding with technical skills.

- Ability to take initiative, motivate team to work with minimal direction and prioritize time effectively to deliver in a timely manner.

- Experience managing projects and teams in an Agile environment.

- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Passion to understand, learn, and evaluate new technologies.

Desired Qualification:

- Familiarity with the following business verticals: Web Applications,

- Quote/Order Management.

- Exposure to SaaS systems like Salesforce.com.

- Ideally versed in installation, configuration, performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting of scripting tools and custom applications.

- In depth knowledge of the software lifecycle process and multiple development methodologies.
