Engineering Manager - Industrial Product Firm

- Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) in mechanical, electrical, electronics or related engineering discipline

- 12+ years of related Engineering experience with 5+ years in managing teams.

- Professional experience within industrial markets and knowledgeable regarding respective customers and engineering requirements

- Ideally experienced in electrical end/or electromechanical connectivity solutions or an adjacent industry that has structured compliance regulations (UL, CE etc.)

- Technical skills in developing products for Industrial market applications, plastic and metal processing, electro mechanical design preferred. Knowledge of IEEE standards desirable

- Familiarity with engineering tools (LDFSS or DMAIC), processes and risk assessment methods (eg FMEA, DOE) and other relevant engineering process methodologies

- Excellent motivational skills: a person with the ability to set goals and inspire trust and confidence in team members to achieve the highest standards of performance in a dynamic fast paced environment, while maintaining a high level of expertise throughout the team.

- Excellent judgment, timely and high-quality decision-making skills

- Clear, strategic thinker with the ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex problems.

- LEAN/Six Sigma certification is preferred.

- Proven ability to execute on engineering deliverables and influence teams to successfully deliver on commitments to the business and customers

- Strong customer service mindset and mentality of delivering quality products and services on time and within company cost and profitability objectives.

- Fluent communication skills facilitating collaboration with own team, customers, internal business leaders and technology leaders to create value.

- Global experience. Skilled leader in communicating across a global organization with international teams, and excellent at working within different cultures.
