Job Description :
- An Engineering manager in Optum Data Management organization is expected to use advanced Machine Learning and Statistical analytical methods to provide specialized data analysis. Responsibilities includes, but not limited to sorting and filtering data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends; developing and maintaining data preparation and validation routines to support data mining and has experience in creating complex data mining algorithms to support both online and offline data sets; and selecting, recommending and applying appropriate statistical and ML methodologies and techniques to execute against an analysis plan or research objectives.
- In this role, you should have hands on machine learning on Big Data using H2O, Spark-MLlib, Mahout or RevoScaleR packages. Positions in this function will also evaluate new analytics tools and methodologies for possible deployment, create data warehouses/marts and/or develops data mining analyses to support business decisions.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Reviews the work of others Develops innovative approaches Build distributed, scalable, and reliable data pipelines that ingest, process and analyze data at scale and in real-time Perform offline/online analysis of large data sets using components from the Hadoop ecosystem
- Involve in big data technologies and prototype solutions to improve our data processing and analytics architectureServes as a leader/ mentor to further the ML journey Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them
- Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions
- Performs complex conceptual analyses Reviews work performed by others and provides recommendations for improvement
- Forecasts and plans resource requirements Authorizes deviations from standards May lead functional or segment teams or projects
- Provides explanations and information to others on the most complex issues Motivates and inspires other team members
Qualifications :
- BE/B Tech/MS/MCA/MSc (full time only) in Computer Science or related area
- Around 10 - 14 years of managing and building Data teams
- Minimum 3 - 5 Years of experience on Big Data Platform especially on Algorithms in Machine Learning
- Experience in Statistical modeling for predictive analytics
- Proficient in R, Python, H2O, Mahout, Spark-MLlib, Databases and Visualization tools etc.Proficiency with agile or lean development practices
- Understanding for data, schema, data model, machine learning and how to bring efficiency in big data related life cycle
- Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills
