Description : As Engineering Manager - Big Data for a leading telecommunication client you will be based in Gurgaon and will be involved in developing next generation big data product and analytics platform from the scratch to improve the quality of life for millions of users spanned across 14 countries. You will be working with best in class technology stack including Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Streaming, Presto, and Alluxio.

Job Description :

Reporting into the Director of Engineering (Big Data & Analytics), you shall be responsible:

- To Collaborate with cross functional team (Test, deployment & support) to make things happen

- To build Big data platform, products & team from scratch

- To work on true big data problem - Billion of data records per day, Peta-byte storage & Fast response time

- To develop true scalable products - Products will be deployed in countries with subscriber base ranging from 100k subscribers to 200M subscribers

- To keep up to date with best industry practices and lead adopting new technologies

- To brainstorm, contribute new ideas, conceive innovative strategies, and implement solutions to difficult problems

Profile :

To be successful as an Engineering Manager - Big Data you should have:

- B.E./B.Tech in Computer science or Information Technology from reputed college (IITs/NITs)

- Total experience of 12-14 years, demonstrated 5-7 yrs experience in Big data technology stack - Hadoop, HDFS & Spark

- Telecom Experience in the past is highly valued

- Excellent team management skills

- Ability to work with cross functional team and make things happen

- Ability to communicate and negotiate with variety of technical and business teams.

- Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals - Object oriented design, Data structures & Algorithms.

- Expert in programming languages such as Java/Scala/C++/C, Python, Linux/Unix, Distributed programming,

Multithreaded programming

- Good debugging skills
